B and I are in Paris!
After a few days with his parents in the Gard, we're now on vacation in Paris.
We're staying with a friend out in Poissy (zone 5) so we bought a 5 day Paris Visit metro card that gives us unlimited metro rides for all 6 zones. It was a bit pricey (48€ per person), but we don't have to worry about rationing tickets or worry about which zone we're in and where we're allowed to go. The pass gives us a few discounts for touristy sites, but I wouldn't recommend it for that (20% off for the bateau mouche, 10% discount at Galerie Layfette, -50% at Lido, etc etc). There is however a discount for the Chateau de Vincennes, so we might check that out.
On our list of things to do:
eat at a Japanese restaurant rue St Anne by the Opéra Garnier
have some tea at L'Oisive Thé
go to a friend's concert at the Conservatoire
drink a cocktail at Rhum-rhums
And now out to see the city!
