I always have to smile when my professors throw in words like "background", "storytelling", or "win-win", but those pernicious little mistakes in English make my hairs stand up.

The Making-Off movie (what did you steal?)
words ending with k that are spelled ck: steack, desck

But what really bugs me is the new use of "off" as in "off the record" or "off Broadway".
"Faites attention si vous parlez en off, parce que tout est in." (On, dammit, on! The opposite of off is on!)
or
"Il y a 50 spectacles en off, et 60 en in."

Have these people seriously never looked at the button on their coffee machine? Or their alarm clock?

I might just have to make a sheet of my pet peeves and distribute to my classmates in a small effort to improve the English spoken by Communication professionals .

And seriously. There's a word for challenge. It's called defi. So stop trying to be cool.
